Don't Know Why
By samiekins17

All I ever wanted

Was to be loved and cared for

Was that to much to ask?

To much to hope for?

Why is it that I feel like this

Torn and broken inside

Is it all because of you?

How you treated me and didn't care

Why do I still feel the pain,

Even though you're gone?

Do you enjoy my pain and misery

And making it worse?

If only you could see

What it's like to be me

Then maybe you would understand

How hard it is to get by

If you only saw all the looks

That people give

And all of their nasty comments

Even if they don't know me

Why do you hurt me so?

Making me feel worthless

Why is it that I still care

What you think of me?

I wish I could hate you

Half as much as I hate myself

But I just can't

And I don't know why

Most people would call me crazy

If they knew I felt like this

How for some reason unknown to me

That I still have feeling for you

Even though you put me through hell

Making me who I am today

I still care

Even though you made my heart tear

I hate that I feel this way

I want to hate you but I can't

I will always have feelings for you

And I'll never know why

I thought this was nicely done. Very poignant. I don't know much about meter and things like that, but this is very moving.
