Tale Of A Broken Girl

No matter how hard I try

All I ever want to do is cry

Can anyone see through the fake smile

And know that I'm in denial?

Does anyone know the real me

Who's all locked up and trying to break free?

The girl all heartbroken and torn

Who feels as if she is grasping tightly onto a thorn

I don't know how much more I can take

Maybe I'll go drown myself in a lake

Then maybe I can end this pain

And stop all this commotion in my brain

No one really has a clue

About all these things I've been through

All the hurt and all the pain

Just wanting something to blame

Why does it never seem to end?

Living in the same old trend

Waking up and living a lie

All I want to do is die

Will anyone ever see

The pain that's inside of me?

Feeling hopeless and torn

Wishing I was never born

Or will they just pass by

And never care why?

That I feel so alone

And just want to go home
