“Don’t ever look back,” the blind man said,
“Keep the future in your eyes—
Drown out tears with quiet breaths”
Then he shuddered, and he died.

“Listen with your heart,” the deaf woman screamed—
Her voice was a burning storm—
“Trust what you know;” quieter now,
Yet still the words were harsh and worn.

“Don’t be afraid,” the dead ones call,
“Of what you do not know—
All knowledge is worth the taking,
    No matter where it’s from.”
And with these words we should go.

This is quite powerful stuff. I liked the way you've split it into three stanzas. I liked it.
