The New One

My kids needed to know

Mom and dad buy a crib
To put the baby in
They look at it and laugh out  loud
each one has a grin
All I see is one more bed
in another room
I wish that I could sweep it out
With a magic broom

I have all the toys for me
Now all that will change
Mommy says I will love
Things that seem so  strange
I'm afraid the baby gets
All that was for me
Why do they love someone
They can't even see

Then they hear me crying loud
And ask me why I cry
I tell them I will run away
And they won't find me even if they try
Now a hug and smile for me
"We'll always love you too"
"No matter how big our family grows"
"There's always love for you"
