Cold was her prison cell, decaying within her heart. Empty was the bed they’d shared. Gone was the heat of the passion that had warmed her soul. Wet was her face mourning her loss. Black was the night he’d disappeared into. Harsh were his words of blame. Cruel was his smile before he turned and left. Blank were her eyes as she reminisced.
An affair, a mad moment of shared passion. A sin he’d seen but a blessing to her. A heavenly heartbeat when she could fulfil her longing. Why had it started? She could not say. Would it have lasted? She did not know. Would she do it again? She dare not think. These fond memories flooded back to her. As she sat, gutted with guilt.
Dark were his eyes when he entered the room. Useless were her cries and pleas of innocence. Loud were his shouts of betrayal and sin. Hard were his hands as he gripped her delicate form. Bright was the steel, the knife he gripped. Deep was his longing, his thirst for revenge. Silenced were here screams for help. And warm was the blood that flowed.
