Love Is...
By rachelmay40
20 July 2008

Love is the breath of a new born baby.

Love is something that isn’t a maybe.

Love isn’t a sin or a crime.

Love isn’t something controlled by time.

Love is the star you can not see.

Love is the calm after a stormy sea.

Love isn’t something that is planed.

Love isn’t something that’s wrong or banned.

Love is cry of laughter and tears.

Love is all your joys and fears.

Love isn’t something you should hide away,

Love isn’t something that can wait a day.

Love is something no one knows.

Love is something that always grows.

Love isn’t something that’s instantly great.

Love isn’t something you’ll grow to hate.

But to any of us really know.

What is this thing we all show.

To our fathers and mothers.

Fiancé’s and lovers.

This thing that lurks inside our heart.

That plays a most important part.

Is love something you want to try?

Is love something where you ask why?

Is love a thing that turns a frown?

Or is love a big let down?

LOVELY!

Very well captured essence of love! I would like to add just two sentences to make you understand what love is all about:
IF YOU HATE ONE, LOVE NONE!
IF YOU LOVE ONE, HATE NONE!!
While the first line describes the human love, the second line describes God's love. Two different worlds made easy to understand for one and all.
I do hope you understand why I have coined these two sentences accordingly.
Keep up the good work Rachel!

Sorry, rachelmay40, but last night a friend of mine read this out to me and, after your initial couplet, I guessed every single rhyme. I don't mean to sound harsh or arrogant, but your rhyming is predictable - with some difficult forms this can be unavoidable, but I'm afraid there were so many options here for you to make this a much more interesting read.
Cheers
Ah, yes.

Also sorry.

BTW 'planed' = 'planned' ?!

I think you can write well, but my seriously considered advice to you, if you want to be seriously reviewed here, is to save most of the 26 thiongs you have written to 'Me Only'.

Then release them one by one over a period of days / weeks.

You'll get much more feedback, I promise you!

All the best,
