As Glass
By talmru
22 July 2008
With each dawn I rise anew
Wishing I didn't walk a path
A path alone
Undone, unknown
Entrapped in shadows
Sealed by the glass
But fate, a task, a path?
Which is it,
Who am I to know?
So I walk

Wand'ring through the boughs
Of a forest made of glass
Downpours of light
Blinding, as pain
The world around, illumined
The sound of glass breaking
The wind blows
The trees shatter
Destroying their siblings as they fall
One after another,
'till there is naught left but sand
And one single
Glass sappling
