Thanks for the feedback on the last poem everyone...writing has been a little slow for me these past couple of months. This is something I have just written...I find its a little about love, a little bit about being honest with yourself...but also...i just like the sound of the words....tell me what you think! cheers Sweet as I notice the random lines connect, I'd lean at your side forever. The summer heat heaves on my skin But the shadows in your kiss soothe the sting. I'm running in between silhouettes- Displaced but invigorated. These fleeting moments shed like some shifty serpent I try to leave a trail So that if you come back, you can find me Venomous Hansel and slippery Grettel My sloppy words burn like nettles. Press pause and hold thought- Your eager teeth are chattering, Even your skeleton knows you've gone too far A regret right to the bone. When all this busy time, I'd simply like to shut up And just walk you home.
