Oh dear! Please see the previous 'The Baldasacoot' for relevance . . . Still weeping over this one, so I couldn't resist some more. The metre's a bit rough, but so's the bird . . . Apologies! Comments? Yes please! Cheers! John X Baldasacoot Too The baldasacoot is a stately bird, facing near-extinction and when her mournful cry is heard you'll know that her distinction lies in her sorrowful plaintive cry that echoes in the mountains of Paradise and Uraguay in dreams and streams and fountains. She sings of hair and long-lost tresses with passion, deep and strong - in wigs and toupees she now dresses, or have I got it wrong? Does such a creature really exist? I absolutely hope so - but I consult my long word-list and find the answer - No! The baldasacoot, the baldasacoot, lives in my imagination - I love her for her featherlessness wherein lies her fascination.
