What God is
By meadowcroft1964

God’s existence is often debated

Belief in him is often deflated

By what ones been taught

When knowledge is sought

The Christian image of him

Is as it’s always has been

To give credence to the lie

Of his holy spirit  being an entity up high

Allowing doubts to fly

Whereas I’ve bought into

 Another school of thought

That God reside

Before our very eyes

He’s mans conscience

Our voice of reason

Drowning out all nonsense

Demanding we hear

As he voices out choices

Pounding our ears

He’s advocates for good

So we be as we should

He sings out a warning

Which take some ignoring

So right is observed

Wrong is deterred

His message to us is persistent

Clear and consistent

Whispered fears

 Predicting future tears

For all brotherhood

If we don’t do as he would
