Slant (Warning - strong language)

I have come to the conclusion that I can not write anything of merit, so am posting this simple and appalling piece. There are some vulgarities, but if you are reading poetry and are offended by words then fuck off!

If you pronounce 'fuck' as 'fack'
then your accent has a slant,
And if you pronounce 'fuck' as 'fack'
I presume you're a cockney cant.

If you say "feck" and not "fack"
You must be Father Jack
And if you don't care what you CAN say
You must be Gordon Ramsay.

Cheers, V. I like both Father Jack and Gordon Ramsay - ironically I'd rather Ramsay as a drinking partner and Jack as a chef!

re the intro --

You don't write appallingly .

But I sense the kindred feeling -- there are times ( often engendered on this site ) , when I want to string out long bursts of profanity .

Thanks, Brian. I can't say why I needed to post this outburst, but cheers.

Nothing like a good "FUCKING" poem to draw me back again as I was wafting away slowly from the poetry taverns.
Nice one Brett, you make me smile again! x

With Brian - you don't write appallingly.

Hope you feel better for it. Re Ramsay: I reckon I'd smack him before the second pint.

Off-beat!

This rather 'off-beat' piece from a writer as great as yourself had me in stitches!

You must have been jolly cross about something? Hope all is calm now!

Good lack!

Cheers!

Thanks Paula - personally I agree with just the first five words of your review. Glad you enjoyed this, though.

Yes, Phil - I quite agree regarding Ramsey, it's just I'd rather smack him than have Father Jack smacking me!

Tolstoy - Glad it made you chortle.

Cheers
