A tempting thought has tweaked my mind
A tiny seed is growing
This little whimsical desire
Has started something glowing

As I indulge this naughty treat
I bite my bottom lip
But butterflies are taking hold
And I must keep my grip

The warming tingles in my blood
Have turned my skin all pink
And as my little heart beat skips
It tempts me more to think

This fantasy, this perfect thought
Is using up my time
And now it's with me through the day
And sleep's been left behind

Why do I indulge myself
In what can never be
But maybe someone somewhere soon
Will have this thought of me

Wonderfully described, Paula - 'As I indulge this naughty treat' is a great line. I'm sure most of us know the feeling well, and that final stanza is a cracker!
Cheers

Thankyou Brett, I've always been a sucker for a good daydream but I really should live in the real world it's meant to be good apparantly. :grin

Paula, don't believe what you hear. It's not what it's cracked up to be.
Cheers

"A tempting thought has tweaked my mind"
" This fantasy, this perfect thought"
and the final stanza really stand out for me.
When this happens to me, I call it, Daydreaming.

May it never stop.

Cheers

Top notch again, Paula. Agree with all the above - the first line just hauls you in, from where it flows perfectly all the way to that brilliant last stanza!

Can't wait for more from you!

Cheers!

John
