Hello, I'm new, I wrote this a few years ago but I still quite like it, would appreciate any feedback. Regards, Tom

The Circling Crow

The circling crow has had ancestors

And they too admired the sourceless light

Which lifts the rare snow on which you now spin.

The crow too, and her history

Thought about the contradiction of sun

And cold, of light and brighter,

But did so in very different terms.

And the sleek crow has seen you,

Unintentionally dressed as desire, smiling

In black and grey and black.

But we look differently,

The crow and I,

She with indifference and tolerance and

reflection,

I with helpless, tense restrain,

Happy, with no choice but to look.

Sorry for terrible line-spacing - couldn't find a way to correct it once it was submitted! Will sort it out for next time!

i'M NOT A GREAT CRITIC AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SAY DEEP MEANINGFUL THINGS SO I'LL JUST SAY WHAT I FELT WHICH WAS THAT I LIKED IT. AND I LIKED THE SPACING TOO! iT MADE THE POEM LOOK LIKE IT SOUNDED, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
