Josie's poem inspired me to write few lines about the beautiful flower from Indian point of views and importance...

Long slender and filled with fragrance
Enchanting every heart's desire
The beautiful flower is just irresistible!

Some of them are placed at altars
Some adorns on women's head
Some lay silently on the wreath

Lilies' reality is BEAUTIFUL!
Lilies tragedy is its SHORT LIFE!
Lilies power is FRAGRANCE!

Well, I am glad that I inspired you to write these words Johnny. I agree with you. They are a majestic flower and often mentioned in the Bible. Irresistible - yes that's the word. Well written. (We say: Some adorn womens' heads) - but I have never seen this. Is this something that happens in India? They are certainly put in churches for funerals or on coffins or graves because they represent "resurrection". See note after my poem.

Yes Josie the poem I wrote is from an Indian's point of view. Women in India love Lily like anything. They use it as and whenever possible with a small garland of Lilies on their long hair... Also garland of Lilies are the most popular whenever a dead body is taken for cremation in India.

I am glad you liked the poem but the credit surely goes to your powerful poem...
