?
Alone we sit
Just me and It
It keeps me on my toes
I often notice
It's around
I sense it I suppose
It sometimes Startles
me at night
It makes my hairs stand tall
I feel it watch me
From behind
It moves around my hall
I like to know it's
There sometimes
so I don't feel alone
And I think it
Wants me to know
When me and it are home

Our house is haunted - will write about that some time! V | Spooky! Written by Brett (1001 comments posted) 16th August 2008 | But, strangely reassuring. An interesting one, this Paula. Enjoyed. Thanks Vron,Brett and John whats that behind you? | Written by Phil (7001 comments posted) 16th August 2008 | Boo! Funny - I have no belief in ghosts, but there are certain places that spook me from time to time. Fun read. Phil | Written by stuart (1 comments posted) 16th August 2008 | | This reads really well and is really puts a chill down my spine! Good stuff! | Written by mr_soul (126 comments posted) 17th August 2008 | Ah, scary stuff. I don't know whether I believe in ghosts or not, I think a lot of it is in the mind. However I've had a few strange experiences myself which I can't explain so I think there's something going on! What I like about this was that It seems a very nice ghost. It in my house likes to sing so at least I know its rather jolly and friendly, I don't think it means any harm! lol. Enjoyed this paula, a good read. | Written by Artemis (6 comments posted) 17th August 2008 | I read the poem first, then the reviews. I must have no sense of imagination as I thought it was about a cat and the way that they treat it as their house that they are kindly letting you into to open the tins. So, the poem certainly made me think of a real-life situation, where a cat gives you a look from here to infinity and makes it clear why they used to be worshipped. I like the rythmn of this. A. |
