Flash. Based on one very important moment, which was more pivotal than the player could ever have known... He uttered a silent prayer as he rubbed the ball against his chest. This was the most important moment of his life. Within the next sixty seconds he would be either a hero, or a villain; revered for life, or jeered at in the street. The silence around him was thick with anticipation. They knew, as much as he did, how much rested on the outcome of this one action. A dream realised or a hope shattered. It would be one or the other. He paused for a moment before placing the ball on the spot and slowly stepping back. An eternity passed as he waited for the whistle; he'd made his decision, he didn't want to wait any longer. The whistle sounded. He took a deep breath before starting his run. His moment of glory was now. |
