The spirit of Olympics made me realise the reality behind ULTIMATE JOY... I do hope you children will learn something from this piece... Do send me your feedback lovely children of the world... I will be waiting to share your ultimate joy... Happy Reading!
There is loud cheer all around
People clap with smile on their faces
The stadium erupts in unison
Behind the ultimate joy, there is more
Years of hard work
Years of sacrifice
Years of foregoing worldly pleasure
All for a single moment of joy!
There are many in contention
Competing against each other
Everyone aspiring for the ultimate joy
There is only one who grabs it but!
Tears of joy and flawless smile
Write a new chapter in history
All the pains, sorrows, sacrifices and hard work
Gives the lonely athlete ultimate joy!
Will the world care about the sacrifices?
Will the world know about the pains?
Will the world ever know the sorrows?
The world only knows to be a part of the ultimate joy!
Ultimate joy, ultimate joy
You are so blessed
Ultimate joy, ultimate joy
Selflessly you share it with the world…

The judge doesn't care about the tireless hours you put in but that one performance. It's so scary but great to do. Your poem portrayed this as well. The joy of sharing your success with the world. OA | Learn to share happiness with the world. Written by JohnnyD (177 comments posted) 18th August 2008 | Thank you OA. When young people like you, who understand what I am writing about, makes me feel so good and happy. Since I have been watching Olympics every day now, this poem just came depicting an athlete's agony and ecstasy. The joy is the same for every performer. I am so happy to know that you are a good pianist. Wish one day I will get the chance to be present at your concert in India.... I am glad you connected and understood the importance of ULTIMATE JOY! Take care always... Johnny D | SHEER JOY - YES! Written by Josie (4035 comments posted) 18th August 2008 | | Johnny - How well you have captured the feeling of joy in your writing. It is true, the world may not have shared in all that has gone on before, but the sheer joy in the faces of the winners makes it all worthwhile. Young people will understand very well, but your words will mean a lot too. Thanks. | I do hope Josie... I already have one great pianist in the making understanding the ultimate joy... I will have to wait and see how many more will come to share their ultimate joy with one and all after reading this one... Take care! All those years of training and dedication for that ultimate reward - if you're lucky enough. | Thank you Kellie...
