The recent thread of reviews on Malcolm's lost socks has had me chortling no end - here is a poor contribution . . .

Cheers!

Mia’s Sock Garden

I found a sock in the undergrowth,

once one of two - |I guess they both

adorned my feet, for better or worse.

If one were lost? Oh how I’d curse!

Now I examine this ‘ticular one –

has it changed much in the sun,

the rain of several seasons past?

Or was it a sock built to last

through love's pedantic gains and losses?

Finally, I give no anxty tosses

for what they have ‘nevitably been through . . .

After all – I still have you.

Ha, ha. Actually the colour of the socks I found in the garden had faded, so they did not match with the original. So now I buy ten pairs of the same socks, so I can wear them as long as at least two socks remain.
