New beauty

We just had a baby foal born today which inspired this piece

Two long spindly legs pop out undercover

Followed shortly along by two others

Then there was shed the cutest little head

All falling down on green meadows bed

Nature red membranes bled like magic lead?

Disappear she's soon cleaned and cleared

Then up she stands stumbles tumbles right back down

Tasting the air sniffing testing assessing the ground

Finally standing  her feet at last found

Strong and sound senses aware she stands there

Ladies and gentlemen ,boys and girls

I give you the newest beauty to be found in town

Pray raise a toast to Black Beauty your host

Bonniest filly foal ever to be born around

Very visual and impactful . . .

I particularly like your 'compacted rhymes' in the phrasing of:

'stumbles tumbles' and 'testing assessing'.

Also love the line 'Nature's red membrane bled like magic led'

(lead?). Lastly, 'Prey / Pray'?

Anyway, I really like this - wish I lived on a farm!

Love,
