With every day we age, and as we age we grow. There are no limits but those which we set ourselves.

I have spent much time pondering the lesser deeds of my life, and have concluded that while every man makes mistakes only a fool makes the same mistake twice. I am not a fool but have done some foolish things, things which cannot be undone. I have hurt people, in many ways, and for all of these things I will be eternally sorry. But sorry does not replace blood and tears, it does not mend hearts and it does not erase words. I can only speak through my actions, and I hope you will be able to see that I have continued to grow.

A salty kiss, tears of joy
A light, and I am home
Breathe deep, familiar air
Tall amongst my own

One hand feeds, another guides
In time the lesson's learned
Anger fades, tears dry
Some bridges never burn

A journey, time away
A second becomes a year
The truth lies hidden
Not a secret, just a fear

Dawn, a new day
Shapes form through the mist
Such a beautiful world;
One I almost missed

A really moving and profound piece. The intro struck me as much as the poem itself.
