I AM AN INNOCENT ANGEL
By JohnnyD
29 August 2008
The joy a child brings in with them is an ultimate occasion for joy and happiness. Children are truly innocent angels, who fill the lives of all parents with ultimate happiness that they bring with them...

Hello everybody
I am an innocent angel
I travel from heaven
Fluttering my wings
To spread joy and happiness

I have travelled many miles
To brighten up your lives
Hold me dear in your loving arms
Make me feel really special
For I am an innocent angel

With tons of joy
I bring with me
I gift you all with happiness
Please take good care of me
For I am an innocent angel...

I have to tell you a little correction Johnny: I have a little blonde haired, blue eyed boy in my life (my little grandson, Daniel) and he tells people: "I'm Granny's little devil" - and when you see the things which he does, he really is. Certainly no innocent angel. ha ha - But it doesn't matter to me for I just love him to bits, naughtiness and all. Were you an innocent angel then?
Yes, of course!

I was a very cute adorable innocent angel with golden hair, greenish brown eyes and fair complexion.

It's the innocence that reflects their antics as devilish in nature to us, elders. However, the joy the innocent angels spread around our lives is what makes them so angelic...

Daniel is surely a very cute angel in his own ways...

Ah - you were fooled too? ha ha So are we all. But angels or devils, we wouldn't want to change them and they do bring such a joy into my life. Children are indeed special and I am sure God-sent.

Yes, there is certainly an innocence and purity within children - you can see it clearly on their faces when they are asleep. But when their awake and bouncing off the walls, that's a different matter altogether! 8)

Beautiful angel...

The poem reflects the arrival of the angel (a child) in the life of a couple and in no way I wrote about their growing up years.

Yes, all children like me too, become devilish but then who do we blame? Right from childhood, it is the parents who start lying saying - "Johnny eat this otherwise boogeyman will come." This is where a child loses his or her innocence and learns to lie. When they become devilish in nature (naughty) we blame them for being incorrigible... but do we blame ourselves for making them the way become?

This poem is my reflection of innocent angel arriving in a couple's life to bring joy and happiness and not otherwise Josie and Kellie...

Johnny - you have a granny and a mother here and we are teasing you a little bit. To both of us we see the children as little angels, but there comes a point when all good women can begin to change their opinion. ha ha As for the lies, perhaps sometimes and just for fun. After all, fairies are lies aren't they? You wrote a very sweet poem and it is much appreciated.
My name says it all......

I have an only and long awaited (and probably only one we'll ever have) grandson and I can picture him in this poem. He is nearly two and his face is full of expectation and hope. Your penultimate line says "please take good care of me" - sadly this doesn't always happen. I liked this poem.

This is my first review and I wondered where I would start, obviously the mere mention of grandchildren and I'm off!
I am touched Northern Nana...

I am really touched by your sentiments for your loving grandson. I really appreciate for touching the chord with my poem about all the innocent angel.

I agree with you totally that all innocent angels are never taken good care of... well, life is like that. Thank you so much for your lovely emotions...

Do hope you are having a lovely and wonderful time with your grandson... Take care!
