Lost soul

Pride and passion Romany fashion

Set her apart from thoses that aren’t

True gypsy blood flowed through her veins

Fast as a river wild and untamed

Born wrong time and  wrong place

Free soul trapped in outer realms of space

Made to reside in the confines of a house

Doubts took root and sprouted out

She no longer knew what freedom was

Struggled with the question of who she was

Culture and tradition clashed and collided

Lost because they were denied her

Forced to live a lie neither this nor that

A foot in each camp but stuck in a swamp

No direction no focus her part of a race

Lost to restraints that progress have placed
