I long for shelter
By Dacos
30 August 2008
optimistic poem about friendship

I long for shelter
From the stormy seas of life;
There's nothing better
Than a helping hand in strife.

A friend in need
Is always hard to find,
But if I plant the seed
God will be oh so kind.

Sometimes I want nobody
And other times I cry,
And in this restless body
I feel that I could die.

I do not long for one
To hold me in the night.
I want a heart to come,
One that will be right.

Judgement is not for me,
And neither are regrets.
Among friends there won't be
Neither strife nor secrets.
