Assure me

For Mei Jen

My eyes open in despair,

To find that you are not there.

You are far away, far from me, and out of sight.

You warmth stays within the sheets I held so tightly through the night.

My body feels naked without your embrace,

Without your presence to fill the empty space,

Only you can fill, for it belongs to you,

When will you be with me again to save me from these blues?

I long for your touch, the tingling sensation you send through my spine,

For every thrust assures me that you are mine.

The closeness I press against my heart,

To remind me that we will never part.
