A Cleave
By Katanga
03 September 2008

Well . . .  why not? The phrase 'by moonlit streams' is taken brazenly from Brett's wonderful 'sestina' (a fiendishly difficult form), posted  on 2nd May 2008. Do have a look - it's breathtaking!

My effort is experimental . . .

Cheers!

                       Cleave

bitter and wine milk and honey
are more than fine and scones for tea
           you offer more I realise
to me before in some surprise
I go to bed and in my dreams
I rest my head by moonlit streams
              I find a sleep I hold a peace
in which I weep when will war cease?
