The Missing Bit
By margarita
04 September 2008
It's that curl back
That drops me right back to my own ground zero
A place that needs that sweet embrace
To map out its master plan.
And to love with such a small step
Such a nothing move into the groove
That you so naturally make.
These nights I'm looking for the ominous replacement
Oblivion is the preferred route,
But it does no good for my tempo
My strut is a little downbeat.
And I'll see the same streets
That instill in me the adventurous sense
But they all seem to lack that extra hit
That I find between our mindless banter
The silly annoyances and the blind kisses-
(that catch me off guard every time.)
