| I is for Ibis | |

Got mixed up and thought I would write a poem about an ibis, which I thought was some kind of deer, and was quite surprised it was a bird. So I did it anyway then someone mentioned to me that the deer is an ibex. Too late now..... I is for Ibis I'm an ibis in case you haven't heard My colour is red, black or white. I'm an elegant long-legged wading bird I'm a beautiful sight when in flight. Folk say that I'm not very clever But I don't think that this is quite right. I'll fly in all kinds of weather To a beach that's bathed in sunlight. The problem is you won't see me The reason is perfectly plain It's apparent to me, in England you see There's no sun at all, only rain. But you and I aren't so different We both seek the sun and blue sky. You go in a plane, and it seems such a shame That people don't know how to fly.
