Creation through Destruction
By Ane88

How often do you long to destroy
To tear down the fragile fabric that separates
Reality from nightmares
There’s that rush that burns to be let out
So let us walk through a place of danger
Let us look into the eyes of the Grim Reaper
To feel alive
Drape yourself in a string of pearls
And dance on rose-shaped diamonds
Cut your lips on ruby-jeweled goblets
Don’t forget to
Paint on your mask so all they see
Are Blood-red lips that smile
Ivory skin that chases the sun away
With a china-doll complexion and egyptian-dark eyes
That blaze
Like the charcoal they were drawn on with
Let’s not remember let’s not show
The hollow eyes that watch
The pale lips that cannot speak
And the dangerous creature inside that
Sets up a deck of tarot cards
In the hopes that they will fall
