Do you know those clear crisp mornings?

That heighten senses

Sounds carry from afar

Yet the air is crisp and unworried?

In nests sibilant siblings beg

In green yards staccato lawnmowers strip back and forth amongst the new growth

A washerwoman hangs sodden sheets that stir and flap on gentle breeze

Blue sky and sun without oppression

That energises optimism?

Hazeless vistas gently bestowing clarity of perspective and mind

That uplifts one’s spirit?

A dawn that lingers

Giving time when usually there is none

That washes away daily stresses?

A joy to be alive on such a day!

Spring mornings awaken within us.
