Silence
By grace

A quiet thought.

To share silence

when a bridge of love

spans the quiet air,

is a double blessing,

a gift of peace,

a joining of souls,

come. . . sit with me.

Gentle request

Probably not the freshest of ideas -- but the basic image is good , and the request of the last line is fitting .

Pleasant indeed

You're right Patterjack, not a new theme but I'm glad you found it pleasant,

thank you for your thoughtful comments,

Pamx :)
Wonderful . . .

. . . in its gentle, quiet simplicity, Pam!

I don't think it matters that it's not a 'new theme'.

I mean, how many new themes are there?

I think almost all poetry relies on well-worn themes - it's the freshness of expression that counts, and I find this very fresh.

And your last line is a cracker!

Cheers!
