Imagination
By MessiahDave
22 January 2006
Rattled off out of boredom about a boy with a lot of imagination.

There once was a young boy, trapped in fantasy
And every day he'd think about the things he wished could be
His head was filled with dragons, his heart was filled with awe
He was enraptured and enchanted with the things only he saw
The advantages were many to a world sewn in magic thread
He knew no pain or hunger but knew adventure instead
He thought that this arrangement was as perky as could be
For a universe to call your own is a lovely luxury
But as he lived he thought and saw the real world quite unfit
Filled with sorrow and with pain, with hunger and with grit
In fact as he grew up it became more than he could bear
And the young boy decided that he'd spend no more time in there
But as he drooled away in an asylum, from this world fled
He kept thinking about all the folks still trapped outside his head
Wishing that there could be an end to all the people's pain
He left the world of fantasy for the world of the insane
And from his padded cell did he focus on our world that day
And with a mighty mental strain he imagined it away
