English Slacker chapter fifty-nine

When the video finished (four episodes) Holly was asleep and I was dying for a piss again. I somehow managed to get up without waking her and made it to the loo and back without disturbing her parents. It was getting light outside and I was feeling a bit more scared about them finding me there. I remember thinking, “What if her dad gets up early for work?”

Holly was stirring a bit when I got back to the living room, her red hair suddenly looking bigger than ever, and I woke her up by pushing her slightly a couple of times.

She said, “I’ve noticed you around,” in a sleepy sort of voice and I wasn’t sure if she was still dreaming. I pushed her a bit more and her eyes opened suddenly and she smiled and said, “You’re really nice.” And I didn’t say anything.
