What Em might call a 'brain fart.'
Saturday, four-twenty: members on line - 1 - me.
I’m virtually alone in this make believe world
Of words strung together and ideas unfurled.
There’s nobody here to respond to my lines
Of hermit like ramblings and coupled rhymes.

Dear Phil, are your shell-like ears burning? I've just been from neighbours returning To whom, in my ways, I've been singing your praise as a teacher of grammar 'n learning |

Saturday, 11th october, found most of us reasonably sober but Phil came along and proved us all wrong but now I can't find a bloody last line that rhymes or makes any sense. Yo! Ho! Beers! John X |

I've found from experience that Saturday is not a good day to post stuff. Nobody around - and by the time they come back from watching football or shopping, my little piece of nonsense has disappeared. I was playing bridge at 4.20 yesterday - defending the trophy my partner and I won in May. But this time we came close to bottom - so it just goes to show it isn't how well you play, it all depends on luck. Does that sound like sour grapes? |

No, Jean - it sounds like common sense to me. Thanks for reading. Phil |

| Sounds like an eccentric German scientist in a Pink Panther film. Neat, compact and succinct, but very simply conveying a sense of rambling isolation. Saturday 4.20? Can't all be off to watch the mighty Kazakhstan. Enjoyable little piece. |

| Awww. Poor Phil. although I've been there too: No registered members being online. Although I can't remember having logged on in the middle of the night. Yet 4.20 in Britain, that's err... Late in the morning in Asia and Australia and late in the evening in the Americas, so there could have been people online. |

A brain fart?.....have to admit I'm not sure what that is but I suppose it's all right so long as you don't follow through. Yes it is a funny old place.I suppose it means you were virtually alone. It's just a construct really, and sometimes I think it doesn't matter what I say. It's not like you are actually talking to someone. When I think of all the hours I've spent in this virtual place it does make you wonder. But I've also got some support and help from out of the ether.,too. Fart away Phil, fart away jane |

... live on the other side of the world and suffer the slings and arrow of outrageous Time Zones , as I do ! Often very frustrating -- reading works late after other good comments have been made -- and sometimes missing them altogether ! patterjack |
