Excuse the soapbox but I am mad

As the saying goes  youth is wasted on the young and I say education is wasted on the ignorant


Since joining G.W. I have discovered many things, some good, some bad. I have been awaken to some skills, I wasn't aware I possessed and also you have helpfully improved some of my many weaknesses I feel that in the last year or so with yours and G.W.'s help and of course a splattering of anti depressants I have been reverted from the brink of a total breakdown. Also I have become some what educated into the bargain and I enjoyed every moment. My self esteam is now at an all time high even if I still struggle to spell the word. So it's too my great sorry that I have found also that certain well educated people on this site choose to use their skill too the determent of others. To be truthfully I don't always understand totally a lot of the snide innuendos, but I have always know shit when it's being shovelled. Do you not think it would be a lot more honest and less demeaning to state out  right your grievances rather than hide behind some high falutin shit. At least then everyone will know where they stand like I do at this moment as I STAND ON MY SOAP BOX. Sorry I just had to get this off my chest as I feel education is wasted on some. P.S. I don't care if my as or has are mixed up or anything else at this perticular time at least I've delivered my message across

Perhaps this should go in the "soapbox" secton or the non-fiiction fo 
The demoratic nature of the site means that you get all sorts in here. There is no vetting process,so you just have to take the rough with the smooth. You get to know who means well and who doesn't. 
It's a tool use it for your own ends which is what I think you have, for the most part, done.  
If it has helped your that's great. But that's all it did. You did the work, it's you achievement. This rant just goes to show how confident you have become. Keep at it,it's a long road.

Knowing shit when it is being shovelled - I have more respect for a person who realises that than the shoveller, whether he knows it is shit or thinks it is top-soil. 
 
What weaknesses you have, Violet, you strive to improve and that can only be applauded - there are more weaknesses, and much worse weaknesses, in some who do not even recognize them, they may even revel in them, but let them.

"education is wasted on the ignorant" is such a good line. Could it be worked into a poem? I can see it in a villanelle somehow where it gets repeated until it sinks in!
