Rainy Night

The blind man's fingers of the rain
probe like the eye of God upon my face.

Lieutenants of the moon ,
the street lights flicker on the paths
that free my body from the web of night.

what tragedy this rain sodden man bears. I love poetry lthat makes me imagine the story behind the poem. The answer would be different for every reader.
