Great Writing Forum update

Ah, there you are. Right - here's the deal:

The old blue template is called subsilver
The new GW-themed templated is called purpleprose (don't ask why)

In your personal profile, accessed by the menu option 'Edit my Profile', you'll notice (if you haven't already) that within the 'Preferences' section there's an option called Board Style. All things being equal, if your style is set to 'subsilver' then you'll see the blue template when you enter the forum. If it's set to 'purpleprose' then you'll see the browny-beigy GW template there instead.

Sorry if this is all getting into Heinz Woolf territory, but just stick with it, okay?

Now then, if you're set to 'subsilver' and want to see what the new template looks like, then just change the option to read 'purpleprose' and save the changes to your profile. The next time you log in, you'll see the forum uses the GW template.

So have a go with the new template. If anything doesn't work, we've set up a new forum called 'Purpleprose Template Bugs' where you can pour your heart out. In the event that the template is preventing you from even posting, well then you're stuffed you always have the option of returning to your Profile and switching back to subsilver. If you have to resort to that, or you need to report something through some means other than the forum, then you can send a PM to nascent or drop us an email.

In summary then:
subsilver = works, what you've had up to now
purpleprose = seems fine, let us know if you find anything amiss.

As you were.

Your ever-watchful team at GW
