Thank you, wizard!

Thank you, wizard!

Once upon a time I met a real wizard. His name was Love. He was strong, bold, and he didn’t want to admit any restrictions. When we used to talk for hours, he often said: “life like an old bridge can collapse if one doesn’t care of it and doesn’t value it.” He always said that I didn’t appreciate everything I had. But I argued: “It’s difficult for me to feel you, to love with all my mind, and not to sense my object of affection’s presence close to me”. But he answered that I just didn’t take any risks, didn’t take efforts in the least. And I agreed.
“Write a letter to your man”, he suggested. “I know what I say”. “I’m afraid of doing it. He is liable to push me away”. “The devil is not so black as he is painted. Rule your life yourself”, that was his reply.
I sat up all through the night and wrote only four words “I depend on you”. Well, brevity is the soul of wit, I calmed myself. “Shall I send?”, I asked wizard. “Naturally.”
And I have sent. I was waiting. Awfully.
“Why isn’t he replying?”, I demanded one day. “While waiting, you should deserve your man. If you’re so assured he’s worth the best, why aren’t you improving? Do what you preach. Become a real dream for him.”
I have changed beyond recognition. But the letter from him hasn’t come. Perhaps, it’s not my fault. And I realize very strictly – it’s no use crying over spilt milk. I don’t see the wizard any longer but I do feel as he breathes by my side. Love, why don’t you set me free? Do I still have a little chance to be happy?
Very rarely, I may hear an answer: “And how! But, honey, not with him.”

The wizard with the name Love had deceived me. And as it happens with unpleasant people, you do not wish to connect him. But what am I to do? He has stayed here, in my heart. And still drives me to some absurd acts. But when people examine me gloomily, I have a steady excuse.
I’m in love.

Good Dialogue

Quite a peculiar little story, but i did enjoy the final paragraph and dialogue. Very nice. And 'Thank You, Wizard!' Is very attention grabbing. Wizards are generally good. This one isn't. Lovely stuff.
Thank you

Really highly pleasent to read such views. In effect, I wrote it in the past when I was given a task to write a short essay on something attracting. And I tried to depict my life story, I'd say, my CHIEF life story so far. You see, however, I adore this wizard, someties it's truly hard, but without him my life could be too boring. Hope to hear you again.
