This is a story of my experiences whilst living in South Africa in the year when Apartheid fell. My time there was short but it was long enough to have a lasting impact on me, enough to write this story 'Experiences can be strange...'. Writing this, I should stress, was not my aim to castigate and cry 'nasty racists' but I was intrigued by meeting different people who in their own way were in search of an identity, a need to belong and to connect, when I thought it was only be me. |
