Hello Again

I don't really know anything about technique or have any formal writing education.  I just write what I feel when I get an inspiration.  This work (like my short story "White Dove") is about an old girlfriend.  It seems she inspired me to write a lot back then.

How are you?

How are your scars, are they healing or growing in number?

And the walls around your heart, you fought them down so low only to rebuild them higher and stronger... guarding your loneliness and pain.

Do the words of passion and fear still flow through your pen like the never ceasing waters of the Nile, drowning you in them?

Does your brush still paint the bright colors of your death?

And of your eyes, do you still see through the distorted vision of hopelessness?

Do you even dare to reach out for help anymore? Can you face your pain yet, or do you feed it in a box?

How is your head, is it still dark inside?

My appologies for the bad paragraph formatting, I didn't realize it was like that until I posted it.

Thought provoking piece obviously intensely felt. Made me think of Neil Young's more cryptic lyrics.

I once wrote a play to tell an ex-mistress how much I still loved her and why I'd "thrown her away".

Your piece has opened many a supposedly healed wound.

Oh dear I'm getting melodramatic.

Thanks for a stimulating read,

Brian.
