Voraciously I devour them, Chew them, change them, Until there is no longer any mystery to them; They are mine, wholly, and I throw away the bones.
The last one was too meaty, Too raw; he struggled and he wounded me I still find bits of him stuck between my teeth.
The next one shall be easier, Softer; a gentleman's flesh, a pure soul Something sweet to eat.

Can't ignore Written by Bottleblondesurfer (3590 comments posted) 23rd April 2006 | You really can't ignore a title like that and I must say it lived up to it's promise. A powerful and strangely uneasy piece. Blimey I may have to have a re-think about poetry after reading this | thanks... Written by no1butClo (341 comments posted) 25th August 2006 | I feel a can relate to this poem really well, there's something about it that reeks of alot of relationships i've observed or been a part of. reading it; it seems solid, a woman in control and completely self-aware, i love the feel of this well done x clo x |
