A big Willy
By BrianRobertNeal
27 April 2006
I;ve posted this also on poetry under a different titlle to see "what's in a name."

OH HOW  I WISH

Oh how I wish I had a Big Willy!

Just like the bloke next door.

(His son is called William

And he measures six foot four.)

But see I’ve got these four daughters,

The wife just wouldn’t have any more!

She says “that all of our kiddies is girlies

So why should the fifth be a boy

Oh look at the shape I’ve grown into.

Is this what you call a barrel of joy?”

(She’s a got point there, cos she’s quite a size!

But she’s still lovely in my eyes)

Still I wish I had a Big Willy,

I’d take him down the pub,

(Drinkies son, ok dad,)

There we would do manly things,

Like tell dirty jokes

Over a pint, and a plate of bar grub

Hi, Brian.

Oh dear. Poor Willy looks a bit exposed there with hits and no reviews so I thought I'd better support you.
Emphatically NOT going to get into The Oxford Book of English Verse. But might make the comic version, sandwiched between Roger McGough and Pam Ayres. There's a thought. 'Time for bed!' said Zebedee to Florence. Dirty bastard!

Are you certain it won't get in the OBEV?

My theory that a salacious title draws the crowds is not coroborated.

Thanks for your time and comments, it was just one of my "tease works".

Brian.
