REALLY not sure where this came from, just tell me if it's awful and i'll take it away and you'll never see it again...please!

Four portraits,
four self portrayals.
Showing how we wish to be seen
always knowing that in the end we can't decide.

Mutated with colour, light
and perspective
we gaze into the distance, or over our shoulders
never at the camera
how pretentious.

Four names,
four intruiging statements.
Each provides a casual glimpse
into the minds, thoughts, lifestyles, friends
of a guarded being.

Four threads, starting to merge.
Four minds, beginning to show
their ideas and views
potential

but for what?

I wouldn't dream of saying someone's work was awful, that's not the purpose of the exercise. anyway I'm not qualified to judge.
I like writing which is about photos they fascinate me and I could empathise a lot with what you were saying until the last line that didn't work for me. But it was an interesting bit of work about a fascinating subject.
