Why poets don't review?

I posted this as a part of one of BBS' threads. She suggested that I posted it, in it's own right.

Creative people, such as you and me,

Have this fault I glimpse, but cant clearly see.

Consumed by the desire to express through word.

Once thought through and finally written.

There is then an aching desire to be heard,

That is far greater than any wish to listen."

Artists...
we are an introverted, narsisitic breed, are we not?

Thought the choice of the word "consumed" was very apt.

Well put, Brian. And unfortunately very true. And that is why this site, which encourages feedback, is valuable.

I find it fascinating how many different syles and approaches to writing can be found on this Web-Site.

Though I obviously enjoy plaudits, I find it a pleasure to be amused, made to think or to look at a familiar subject from an unfamiliar viewpoint.

Asbo-bloody-lute rubbish (haha) I totally disagree (hoho) hogwash!
I always listen to other peoples advice (not)

There lies a fine line, between self conviction, and objectivity.
