A footnote to A half Span etc.
The first moment is when you admit,
That there were times, in the past,
Due to inexperience and youth
When you have been, a complete pratt.
The next moment of truth, is when you allow,
That even now, caught off-guard or relaxed,
You can still be a hopeless twatt.
The final moment's when you suddenly see,
You're ever to be like that.
Just older, no wiser, till exeat

Short but true Written by Josie (2849 comments posted) 6th May 2006 |
| Yes, I think we all feel exactly the same, but haven't yet put it into words. I am sure that if we all given a re-run of our lives, there would be changes, but we only know we've made the mistakes, sometimes, when we are too old to change them. Your poem is short, to the point, but carries a strong message. I liked it. |

The last line was difficult as I needed rhyme for "at". Brian |
