The ingredients for Life

An overflowing cup of mirth
- To combat all the stress

A sprig of lucky clover
- To help you out of any mess

A spoon or two of solid confidence
- Makes brave to face the fight

The essence of good nature
- Is essential to get right

Some seeds of inspiration
-To brighten up a rainy day

Three jugs of strong positivity
- To capture every sunny ray

A sprinkle of intelligence
- Always useful to possess

Plenty branches of true friendship
- Good for soothing raw distress

A large slice of enthusiasm
- Best cut with a keen knife

Several drops of warm honey
- To sweeten up your life!

Next mix a bit of spice

A glass of wine for good measures
(After all you have to enjoy life’s many pleasures!)

Gently stir clockwise round and round

Creaming out all of the bumps
Whisking out all of the lumps

A smooth consistency should be the perfect result
A colourful appearance needed for a well rounded adult

You must leave for seven days and nights
To soak up all of nature’s pure delights
By the end of this time in the sun it should be set
And I would like to guarantee or bet
That the taste truly is the very best
Then it’s up to you to add in all the rest!

I'm the first to comment on your poem, but I have to say "Yes I do agree" and I think you poem is really lovely. It is strange but one minute before reading it, someone wrote to me and thanked me for my comment because no-one else had ever said anything. I have had some bad things happen lately, but that one teaspoonful of thanks made all the difference - and then I read your poem. So we must say "A little pinch of thanks to lighten up the heart."

You must be optimistic person I guess, and one can see it here. Truly merry and bright verse. I like it.
