Remember you are never lonely. In early summer, just at noon You hold the Earth within a pocket, You have your own stars and moon. Around you one watches people, And tries to face, and wants to give. Official prejudice and smiles Will knock when you attempt to live. But through this wind of fragile voices, Or lovely faces, precious hands, Or people loving you, and hurting, You find the one who guards your lands. He won’t arrive when you are busy, He will not talk when you’re asleep. And therefore you’re never lonely, You have got something high and deep.
