Objects of Affection

What would you grab if you could borrow anything from any book you've ever read? Perhaps you've always wanted to try on Miss Haversham's wedding dress from Great Expectations? Or fancied being Lord of the Rings? Maybe to view the world through the Big Brother telescreen of 1984? If you can write 150 words on this theme, then the Every Object Tells a Story scheme (sponsored by Channel 4 and the V&A Museum) wants to know. Winning entries get printed onto bookmarks and everything.
