Red

Red is an exclamation mark!

A vibrant, volcanic explosion in a dull drab world.

Red is a shape shifter,

At first a vampire with bloody fangs,

Then a clown, thick gooey painted on lips and cheeks,

Exciting, scary, showy, insecure. Red

A haze of anger, murder, death, traitor.

Confident and noticeable yet inconsistent: a fleeting flame.

Fiery red nails chip, volcanoes cool, spicy chillies are soothed with icy water, and blood doesn’t always flow.

Red sizzles, red burns, red hurts, but Red ... ends up dancing straight off the stage.
