Anne Summers Vibrating Pants
By BrianRobertNeal
17 May 2006
A Poetic Celebration of a real life event. Women find shopping an emotional experience and this particularly woman was overcome by the Checkout Counter.

In her Anne Summers vibrating pants
She went looking for supermarket romance
It was going ok, she had got round half way
when suddenly she started thrashing, they say.

There was commotion in all of the aisles
Astonished shoppers burst into smiles.
What was causing her gasps and her rants
why her Anne Summers vibrating pants.

(next time she thought I'll stick with a thong and an Alice Blue Gown)

This is very similar to my "Supermarket Sensations" poem.

You've just changed the title!

It's many years since I was in Anne Summers I didn't know you could get them.
She must have been pessimistic about her chances in the supermarket if she wore the pants as well.
It's always a relief to read a poem that rhymes. I remember reading a poet who said "writing blank verse was like playing tennis with the net down"
A quick giggle for a wednesday morning

I heard that story, I think the poor woman was about to pass out... the 'off' switch wasn't working.

The first verse sounds like a limerick. Very funny and easy to read.

Brian you get instant reviews on every single piece you write - how do you do it?! :)

It's sad to think that up until then the Woman's favourite Beach Boys Song had been, Good Vibrations!

Thanks for your time and comments.

Brian.
