Monsters of Consiousness.
By Christoph38
18 May 2006
This Poem was written as part of an assesment towards the second year of my degree in English...more importantly it was written after another derpressing news report on the war in Iraq.

We are the Monsters of Consiousness
What we do is evil.
We can't see what is best for us,
Fighting like the devi.

We build and create, hating all we do,
People, what are they to us,
What am I to you?
Our creations made to destroy that's our lust.

And what do we gain in the end
Other than destruction?
Planes, Tanks, Guns...that's our fun
Our destructine nation.

Hating everything you do,
Hating all about you
One of the very few,
I'm nothing like you!

I'm not a poet, but this is very arresting and provocative. My only issue is the last line in the second verse which some how doesn't really flow.

Look forward to more :)

Regards.
Alastair.
Thanks

Thanks for your comments Alastair, I agree the last line of the second verse is a little out of place...any suggestions? :)
